Welcome!

Welcome to The Low Level Blog!

When tutoring a university course on CPU design, I found myself sharing with a group of students all the strange and mysterious corners of the x86 ISA, giving them a new obscure fact each week.

A year and half later, I’ve decided to start a blog, just sharing this information into the void in case anyone else finds it as interesting as I do.

I also have many years experience working on writing a hobby operating system – from the kernel to bootloader to a custom C standard library. Over time and through many parts, I hope to share how these things can be implemented!

If any of you out there are actually reading this, golly! Well I hope you enjoy the posts and can learn something new, but don’t expect anything too professional from this blog! (I’m not sure if I’ll write my first post first, or figure out how to make WordPress look less boring!)
